United States President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday that the global tariff rate "will be somewhere in the 15% to 20% range."

The president confirmed what he said earlier during his meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer about imposing duties on foreign countries. At the same time, he couldn't specify the exact tariff rate on British steel and aluminum, stating that it will be announced "pretty soon."

"We're gonna make our own steel, and we're gonna make our own aluminum, for the most part," the president concluded.
