United States President Donald Trump expressed his doubts that Hamas will make the deadline given to return the hostages it was supposed to hand over on Saturday.
Speaking during his meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan, Trump insisted that, if Hamas fails to return to the ceasefire agreement, "all bets are off." Commenting further on his proposed US takeover of Gaza, the president repeated his plans for the Palestinian population to live "safely" in "another location." He also stressed that the US would run the strip "properly" and not buy it.
Hamas delayed the release of hostages planned for Saturday, claiming Israel violated certain conditions of the agreement. Israel then also accused Hamas of breaching the deal. Lastly, Trump warned that "all hell is gonna break out" if Hamas does not return the hostages on Saturday.
