United States President Donald Trump said hostages from Venezuela arrived home in great condition after six Americans detained in Venezuela were released.

The Venezuelan government freed them following a meeting between President Nicolas Maduro and Trump's envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell. Grenell's visit focused on deporting Venezuelan migrants with criminal records from the US and securing the Americans' release.

Trump and Grenell had already confirmed the release on social media, with Grenell posting a photo of the men aboard a flight to the US.
