United States President Donald Trump claimed on Thursday that the Ukraine war would "end immediately" if oil prices "came down."

Addressing the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos virtually, Trump stated he will urge Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) and OPEC to bring down the cost of oil and claimed that the cartel is "very responsible" for the conflict. "Right now, it's so high, the war will continue," he asserted.

The US president added that he will also ask MbS to up his country's pledged investment in the US from $600 billion to $1 trillion.
