United States President Donald Trump stated Saturday that illegal border crossings have decreased by "almost 100%" since his return to the White House.

"The border people want to have great borders," the president told the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). He explained that he is in regular contact with the border patrol whom he referred to as "great people."

At the same time, he praised other law enforcement agencies for protecting the border and implementing his administration's immigration policy. Battling illegal immigration was one of the key promised Trump made during his 2024 presidential campaign.
