United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that tech giant Apple Inc. would not be given any tariff waivers or tax relief for its Mac Pro parts that are made in China and called on the company to make them in the US instead.
"Apple will not be given Tariff wavers, or relief, for Mac Pro parts that are made in China. Make them in the USA, no Tariffs!" Trump tweeted.
Trump's remarks come after media reported at the end of June that Apple will move the production of its Mac Pro from the US to China. The Cupertino-based company reportedly entered into a contract with Taiwanese Quanta Computer Inc for the manufacture of the computers in a factory near Shanghai.
