Trump: Our planet is teetering on edge of World War III

Former United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday in a speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) that the world is on the edge of World War III, describing the current situation as an international crisis "the world has seldom been part of."

"Nobody can believe what's happening, war is now raging in Europe and the Middle East, a growing specter of conflict hangs over Taiwan, Korea, and the Philippines, and all of Asia." Trump then said a potential World War III would be unlike any other war before because of advanced weaponry. "These weapons are obliteration," he argued.

Trump repeated his criticism of the foreign and economic policy of the current administration as well as its approach to immigration, also saying it is to blame for the war in Ukraine which he claims would never have happened with him in the White House.
