United States President Donald Trump asserted that Palestinians would be denied the right to return to a reconstructed Gaza "because they are going to have much better housing" in neighboring countries.
In a newly released excerpt from his Fox News interview on Monday, Trump outlined his proposal to establish a permanent resettlement for Palestinians elsewhere, emphasizing that it would take "years" before the Gaza Strip could be rebuilt to accommodate their return. "It's not habitable," the president said during the sit-down with Fox News host Bret Baier.
"I think I can make a deal with Jordan and Egypt," Trump emphasized, highlighting that the United States provides both nations with "billions of dollars" annually.
