United States President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he will impose a 100% secondary tariff on Russia's goods if a deal on the conflict in Ukraine is not reached in 50 days.
Speaking at the White House in a meeting with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump remarked that he is "unhappy" with Russia over its recent attacks on Ukraine, and "disappointed" with its President Vladimir Putin "because I thought we would have a deal two months ago."
"It could be more simple, but that's just the way it is," he said. "I hope we don't have to do it."
