Trump: Tonight, I will be signing pardons on Jan. 6 hostages

EPA-EFE/ALLISON DINNER

United States President Donald Trump said in front of the inaugural parade that he will "sign pardons on the January 6 hostages" tonight.

"As soon as I leave I will be going to the Oval Office and will be signing pardons for a lot of people. A lot of people," Trump stressed. He also thanked his Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, calling him a "great negotiator," which is "what we need."

Trump took the chance to address Sunday's hostage release, which was part of the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. "We never stopped praying for you, and we're so glad that you’re reunited with your friends and families," Trump said.
