The 45th United States President Donald Trump emphasized that the nation had turned into an "energy beggar" in the midst of the energy crisis, although it was just "energy independent" two years prior.

Trump explained during his Arizona rally that the United States was not only self-sufficient in energy but also "energy dominant" under his presidency.
