United States President Donald Trump said in a press conference on Thursday that his administration was doing "very well" concerning the nuclear talks with Tehran.
"We are doing very well regarding Iran," he stated, referencing what he described as "serious meetings" and suggesting that positive outcomes are possible. However, he added that "one option is not a good option" when discussing potential outcomes, without providing further details.
The statement comes before the upcoming meeting between both nations, scheduled for Saturday, April 26. As reported by Politico, the US administration has appointed veteran State Department diplomat Michael Anton to head the country's negotiating team in the technical discussions with Iran.
