United States President Donald Trump slammed Democratic lawmakers over "false charges, false accusations" against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process. "What radical Democrats did to Kanavaugh is a national disgrace," Trump stated at a rally in Pennsylvania. He added that he "never even thought of giving up on Kavanaugh."

The president called on the crowd to "reject the Democrats' shameful conduct" and vote in the midterm elections scheduled for November 6. "We need it badly, we need a Republican Senate," Trump said, warning the rally that the Democrats are "the party of crime." He claimed Democrats "will take over and destroy healthcare" and accused them of colluding with Russia together with his rival in the presidential race, Hillary Clinton.
