United States President Donald Trump vowed to retaliate against the European Union if Brussels implements new tariffs on American goods in relation to the World Trade Organization ruling.
"If they strike back, then we'll strike back harder than they'll strike. They don't want to do it," the president asserted.
However, the bloc said that it will place levies on products coming in from the US only if a "negotiated settlement" cannot be reached with Washington.
