Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss lost her seat in Norfolk South West to Terry Jermy of the Labour Party in Britain's general election on Friday.
Jermy secured 11,847 votes, which accounted for 26.7% of the total ballots cast. On the other hand, Truss received 11,217 votes, representing 25.3% of the votes. In 2019, she won the seat with an overwhelming majority of 26,195.
Truss also holds the record for the shortest term of office as Prime Minister, serving for only 49 days. She assumed office on September 6, 2022, and officially resigned from her position to Charles III at Buckingham Palace on October 25, 2022.
