Trust can steer countries away from conflict - Von der Leyen

Trust is needed in 2022 more than ever as it can "shift" the mindset among countries from conflict "towards cooperation," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Thursday.

Delivering remarks at the World Economic Forum, Von der Leyen described trust as "the most expensive currency" at the moment.

"Trust among countries can tilt the balance of international affairs," the politician concluded.
