Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Tuesday that Israel is targeting Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity "with its occupying mentality."

"Israel, having invaded Syrian territory, is encroaching on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria with its occupation mentality. Israel's aggression, cruelty, and lawlessness continue. As Turkey, we will always continue to stand by our Syrian brothers," Fidan said while addressing the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

The Turkish foreign minister also previously held talks with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Lammy to discuss the situation in Syria. The Turkish Foreign Ministry also condemned Israel's seizure of the buffer zone with Syria along the Golan Heights.
