Turkey's new KAAN fighter jet makes its maiden flight

Turkey's 5th generation KAAN combat fighter jet made its first flight, Turkish defense industry and military aviation portal SavunmaSanayiST.com reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the Turkish army is scheduled to receive its first fighter jet in 2028. The flight test was previously scheduled for late December but was repeatedly postponed.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that the aircraft is equipped with the latest technology, high maneuverability, and precision targeting.
