Turkey has stopped exporting so-called "battlefield goods" to Russia after the United States warned it of "consequences," the Financial Times reported on Tuesday. According to people familiar with the matter, Turkey recently updated its electronic customs system, banning the export of over 40 categories of products made in the US that have been seen as "vital to Moscow’s war effort in Ukraine."

The now-banned exports include electronics such as microchips, processors and memory cards, as well as various tools and machines needed to manufacture weapons. According to the report, the Turkish government chose not to publicize the decision due to "political sensitivities."
