Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan remarked on Wednesday that Israel's ground operation against Hamas could evolve from a fight into a "massacre."
Speaking to reporters during a diplomatic visit to Doha, Qatar, Fidan stressed that anyone who supports what Israel is doing in Gaza and claims it to be "solidarity" is an accomplice in war crimes. He went on to describe any misdeeds against Palestinian civilians as crimes against humanity.
Previously, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the West to speak against the "brutality" of attacks on "Palestinian lands," insisting that the silence makes the situation worse.
