Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal visited Kiev and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (pictured) as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan maintains efforts to mediate between Ukraine and Russia.
Kalin stated the purpose of the visit was to discuss Turkey-Ukraine relations and the Russia-Ukraine conflict "and to contribute to the work on ending the war." He added that the situation in Ukraine "has become more urgent, especially in terms of ending the attacks against civilians."
