United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will visit Warsaw on May 14 and Brussels on May 16 before attending the meeting of the Group of Seven's (G7) finance ministers and central bank governors in Bonn on May 19 and 20, her department announced on Monday.
The Treasury said Yellen will "work with her counterparts to advance global tax policy as a part of a foreign policy for the middle class, combat the climate crisis, strengthen the global health architecture, and address the rising threat of global food insecurity resulting grom Russia's war [in Ukraine]."
The Treasury also remarked that the US and its allies will "continue their united efforts to increase economic pressure on Russia to end its brutal and illegal war against Ukraine."
