Two crew members were killed after the shipping vessel Eternity C was hit by rocket-propelled grenades near Yemen, the Liberian shipping delegation said on Tuesday. The Greek-owned bulk carrier sailed under the Liberian flag.

The deaths represent the first fatalities in the Red Sea since June 2024. Another Liberian-flagged ship was struck on Sunday, with the crew abandoning it as it started filling with water.
