The annual inflation in Japan came in at 2.8% in November, going down from 3.3% registered in October, and matching expectations, the Statistics Bureau revealed in its report. The figure marked the lowest inflation pace since July 2022 when it landed at 2.6%.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) excluding fresh food decreased to land at 2.5% year-on-year. The month before, the figure stood at 2.9%.
Excluding food and energy, the index was 3.8%, a slight slowdown compared to October's 4.0%.
