North Korea rejected claims made by the United States that it has sold weapons and ammunition to Russia, insisting Washington will face the consequences if it continues to spread such rumors. Kwon Jong-gun, the person in charge of US affairs at North Korea's Foreign Ministry, argued that Washington's claims were a provocation and that North Korea won't tolerate the fabrication of facts.
The official's statement comes after the US alleged earlier this month that North Korea provided ammunition to Russia's paramilitary organization Wagner Group in November, which was then used against Ukrainian troops. The allegations were backed by satellite imagery of Russia's railcars transiting to and from North Korea.
