British Foreign Secretary David Lammy stated in Parliament on Tuesday that the UK "categorically" condemns Israel's expansion of settlements in the West Bank, emphasizing that such actions do not enhance Israeli security and undermine the prospects of a two-state solution.
"I'm clear with my Israeli counterparts that settlement expansion must stop. We will continue to work with our partners to ensure the prospects for a Palestinian state," Lammy said.
Lammy noted that sanctions were imposed in October and that the UK would keep them under review but did not announce new measures. Despite his remarks, the UK promised to keep on selling military supplies to Israel in November.
