British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves said on Monday, while delivering a speech, that the automakers in the United Kingdom will be "particularly" hit by the United States tariffs.
"With this government and with me as Chancellor, we have your back," she commented, adding that carmakers, and others in need, will be provided with support.
She reiterated that London's approach to the tariff issue will be "cool-headed," "pragmatic," and guided by "the national interest."
