The United Kingdom and the European Union are advancing discussions on seizing frozen Russian assets to strengthen defense funding, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

The British Foreign Office had announced that UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas will meet in London on Tuesday.

According to the report, the talks will also cover the bloc's plan to invest €150 billion in defense, allowing purchases from countries like the UK, which wouldn't contribute financially but could benefit through orders for its defense industry.
