The United Kingdom's consumer confidence slightly recovered in November, according to a GfK survey conducted for the month.
The Consumer Confidence indicator stood at negative 44 points, edging up by 3 points compared to the data seen the month before, however, the figure still hovered near the historic low registered in September.
"This month's fillip is likely to reflect nothing more than a collective sigh of relief as a new prime minister takes charge following the alarming fiscal antics we saw in September," GfK client strategy director, Joe Staton, commented upon the release of data, warning that "more bad news is inevitable" as the country's inflation hit a 41-year high.
