Scottish space company Skyrora Ltd. will begin testing its 3D-printed rocket engines with the aim of taking its Skyrora XL rocket to space. Tests will take place every week over the summer, according to Sky News, after which the company will test the first stage with the new engines.
The rocket is 23 meters tall with a capacity of 315 kg, and Skyrora plans to carry out launches after it receives a license, for which it applied in 2022. "The new engine technology developed by Skyrora's engineers and the commitment to a sustainable design are a testament to the innovation taking place in the UK space sector," CEO Volodymyr Levykin told Sky News.
