Production output in the United Kingdom declined by 0.9% in January compared to the previous month, the Office for National Statistics revealed in a report on Friday.
According to the data, manufacturing and mining and quarrying contributed the decline, falling 1.1% and 3.3%, respectively. The drop was partially offset by increases of 2.6% in water supply and sewerage and 0.5% in electricity and gas.
In the three months to January 2025, total production declined 0.9% compared to the previous three-month period.
