UK industrial production up by 1.5% in February

Production output in the United Kingdom rose by 1.5% in February compared to the previous month, the Office for National Statistics revealed in a report on Friday.

According to the data, manufacturing, and electricity and gas contributed to the increase with a jump of 2.2% and 2%, respectively. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying dropped by 3%.

In the three months to February 2025, total production increased by 0.7% compared to the previous three-month period. Compared to February 2024, the figure was up by 0.1%.
