The trade deficit in goods and services in the United Kingdom narrowed by £2.3 billion to £9.2 billion in the three months to October compared to the previous trimester, the Office for National Statistics shared in its report on Wednesday.
Exports for the reported three-month period fell £3.1 billion in October, to land at £209.8 billion. Meanwhile, imports dropped by £5.4 billion, coming in at £218.8 billion.
The trade in goods deficit shrank by £2.1 billion to £47.3 billion in the three months to October 2023, while the trade in services surplus widened by £200 million to £38.1 billion.
