The trade deficit in goods and services in the United Kingdom grew by £7.1 billion to £13.3 billion in the three months to June compared to the previous trimester, the Office for National Statistics shared in its report on Wednesday.
Exports for the reported three-month period increased by 4.5 billion in June, to land at £214.7 billion. Meanwhile, imports grew by £11.6 billion, coming in at £228 billion.
The trade in goods deficit rose by £7.8 billion to £52.4 billion in the three months to June 2024, while the trade in services surplus is estimated to have widened by £700 million to £39.1 billion.
