The British Defence Ministry on Sunday released its latest assessment of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in which it said Moscow was losing the support of its people and that its troops are "unlikely to achieve major battlefield successes in the next several months."
The UK cited data by Russia's Federal Protective Service obtained by independent Russian media which reportedly indicated that 55% of Russians favor peace talks with Ukraine. "Despite the Russian authorities' efforts to enforce pervasive control of the information environment, the conflict has become increasingly tangible for many Russians," the ministry said.
