The British Defence Ministry in its latest update on the Russia-Ukraine conflict on Sunday said it is highly likely that Moscow thinks an enhanced military threat will "endure" for many years beyond the ongoing war.
The ministry said its conclusion was drawn from the plans of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu (pictured), who had announced major changes to the structure of the Russian armed forces. "Russia will highly likely struggle to staff and equip the planned expansion," the ministry claimed.
The news comes after Shoigu said Moscow plans to increase the number of its armed personnel by over 10% and re-establish the Moscow and Leningrad military districts.
