The United Nations announced on Saturday that its mission in Mali will resume its contingent rotations. According to AFP, rotations of the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) will restart on Monday "under fresh approval measures."

In July, Mali suspended MINUSMA rotations citing national security concerns and stating they will continue after a meeting to "facilitate the coordination and regulation" of the mission. MINUSMA was deployed in 2013 following the start of a civil war in 2012.
