UNGA approves resolution calling for Gaza 'humanitarian truce'

The United Nations General Assembly voted on Friday in favor of a non-binding resolution that calls for an immediate "humanitarian truce" in Gaza.

The resolution drafted by Arab countries was supported by 120 General Assembly members, while 45, including the United Kingdom, Ukraine and Germany, abstained, while 14, including Israel, the United States, Austria, Croatia, Czechia and Hungary opposed it.
