The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) on Sunday warned of a dire situation in Gaza due to scarce clean water and sanitation access amidst ongoing bombardment.
The agency said that attacks exacerbate a humanitarian crisis, leaving thousands in a precarious state with heightened vulnerability to diseases. It also said that limited aid deliveries and infrastructure destruction worsen the challenges faced by the already distressed population.
UNRWA earlier sounded the alarm over an emerging catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, after the withdrawal of funding to the agency from multiple nations.
