The United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) announced on Thursday that its consolidated revenue in the third trimester of fiscal 2024 reached $22.2 billion, up from $21.1 billion registered in the same period in 2023.
In the reported quarter, year over year, diluted earnings per share soared 37%, amounting to $1.80, while net income jumped 36%, to come in at $1.5 billion. Consolidated operating profit stood at $2 billion, skyrocketing 48% on an annual basis. For the entire 2024, the company expects consolidated revenue to stand at $91.1 billion.
"After a challenging 18-month period, our company returned to revenue and profit growth. “Peak season is nearly upon us, and we are ready to deliver another successful holiday season and continue the progress we demonstrated in the third quarter," CEO Carol Tome commented.
The company's stock surged 5.76% in the premarket, following the report.
