United States National Security Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby (pictured) said on Monday during a press briefing that his country was "deeply concerned" regarding the leak of classified documents on Israel's plans to attack Iran.
"We are not exactly sure how these documents found their way into the public domain," Kirby added. "The White House is keenly focused on preventing leaked intelligence documents in future ... but no reason to suspect additional documents of this sort finding their way into public domain now."
In earlier remarks, US House Speaker Mike Johnson told CNN that the Defense Department has initiated an investigation concerning the leak of sensitive American intelligence about Israel's proposed military actions against Iran.
