The United States 2024 war plan for Ukraine will not be putting territory recovery at the forefront, The Washington Post reported citing a senior administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
"It's pretty clear that it will be difficult for them to try to mount the same kind of major push on all fronts that they tried to do last year," the official shared, adding that the new strategy aims to help Ukraine repel Russia's further advances and focus on long-term objectives of boosting Kiev's fighting force and economy.
This will help the country become "much stronger by the end of 2024 … and get them on a more sustainable path," the official emphasized.
