Washington and Beijing decided to intensify their economic and commercial communication in the future by establishing multi-level communication channels, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said on Thursday at a press conference after United States Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo's visit to the Far Eastern country.

The ministry stressed that its head Wang Wentao and Raimondo agreed to hold meetings at least once a year and address all important issues without delay, using different platforms for the two countries' trade departments to carry on normalized dialogues.

"It is a major step in stabilizing China-US ties and promoting practical cooperation among business communities from both countries," the ministry affirmed.
