US, China to take action to implement trade deal successfully - USTR

United States Trade Representative’s office confirmed in a statement the United States and China have agreed to maintain communication also promising to take actions needed to ensure successful implementation of the phase one trade agreement between Washington and Beijing.

In talks with the Chinese Vice Premier Liu He (pictured left), US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer (pictured center) along with the country's Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin (pictured right), discussed the steps China has taken towards making structural changes the deal called for which would ensure the protection of US-companies' intellectual property.

The two sides agreed on the progress made so far, commending the significant increases in purchases of American products by China.
