Director of the United States Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, Dr. Peter Marks (pictured), the head of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) responsible for verifying the safety and efficacy of vaccines, has resigned effective April 5, the Wall Street Journal reported.
"It has become clear that truth and transparency are not desired by the [US Health and Human Services (HHS)] Secretary [Robert F. Kennedy Jr.], but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies," Marks stated in his resignation letter.
An HHS official stated in an email that if Marks didn't "want to get behind restoring science to its golden standard and promoting radical transparency, then he has no place at FDA under the strong leadership of Secretary Kennedy," according to a CNN report.
