US Treasury Secretary Yellen to travel to Beijing July 6-9

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will travel to Beijing this week, July 6-9, to meet with senior Chinese officials.

The Treasury stated that Yellen will discuss various macroeconomic and financial topics, as well as how the US and China can "responsibly manage" their relationship and "communicate directly about areas of concern, and work together to address global challenges."

The trip comes just weeks after Secretary of State Antony Blinken met in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
