Governments of the United States, France, and the United Kingdom issued a statement on Monday repeating their willingness to continue supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia "for as long as it takes." The assurances follow the three governments' call with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, who insisted Ukraine is planning to escalate the conflict.
"Our countries made clear that we all reject Russia’s transparently false allegations that Ukraine is preparing to use a dirty bomb on its own territory. The world would see through any attempt to use this allegation as a pretext for escalation. We further reject any pretext for escalation by Russia," the three allies stated.
