The United States military on Saturday said it conducted airdrops into northern Gaza during the day, utilizing US Air Force C-130 aircraft and specialized US Army soldiers.
The operation aimed to deliver humanitarian assistance, including 41,400 meals and 23,000 bottles of water, to the civilian population in the area.
The recent airdrops align with US President Joe Biden's commitment to expedite aid delivery to Gaza in response to concerns over the slow pace of assistance reaching the besieged enclave. It also comes after Washington's previous denial of its involvement in a fatal airdrop incident that occurred last week.
