The United States supposedly received advance notice of the reported Israeli attack on Iran on Friday, NBC News reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Even though it was pre-notified of the strike, the US allegedly did not endorse or play any part in the execution of the operation.
Earlier, unnamed Israeli defense officials confirmed that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) assaulted central Iran's city of Isfahan, with their target reportedly being a military base near the city.
