The administration of United States President Donald Trump intends to end financial support for Gavi, an international organization that acquires vaccines for children in developing nations, the New York Times reported on Wednesday.
According to the spreadsheet and other documents outlining the plans obtained by the paper, the White House will also significantly reduce funds directed at efforts to combat malaria worldwide.
Notably, the current administration significantly reduced the funding of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with the State Department discontinuing most international aid programs as a part of its efforts to reduce the size of federal agencies.
